WGI Receives Lions Award

The Corning Lions Club presented a Robert J Uplinger Award to Watkins Glen International Racetrack in recognition of the partnership the two organizations have had since 2006. The Corning Lions volunteer to drive Disability Golf Carts to assist handicapped guests in getting around the grounds of the track. Over the past 18 years, in recognition of this work, Watkins Glen International Racetrack has donated a total of just about $250,000 to the Corning NY Lions Foundation. These funds then assist the Lions in their humanitarian and community service projects. THANK YOU WGI!!!
